Sound on Stage Pty Ltd are proud to announce an exciting service to the live music and event industries; one that brings the ultimate in mobile recording facilities within reach of any stage, set or location anywhere in Australia: two audio remote record and outside broadcast facilities, unique and uncompromising.

Digital:

A state-of-the-art in mobile recording and outside broadcast facility featuring the latest in mobile recording technology, the SOS Digital Mobile Recording truck is proven capable of up to 96 tracks of live recording with fully redundant backup for safety and integrity. That is a total of 192 individual record tracks. The functionality was put to the test on the latest Christina Aguilera tour in Australia.

Utilizing the amazing new RME Micstasy remote controlled pre-amps, MADI optical fibre interconnection and signal distribution, this facility delivers unsurpassed signal to noise ratio and extended frequency response recording. Capturing audio at 96KHz (or virtually any other rate) and delivering in any format desired brings sonic integrity and ease of handling to your live recording needs. This facility delivers - directly from stage to master - live!

The implementation of the MADI optical fibre system provides complete electrical isolation from the stage power system and delivers pure signal direct to the disc recorders and consoles. A comprehensive routing section allows for redundant backup as well as feeding our two Yamaha DM2000 consoles to provide you with the live mix of your show, perfectly blended with the crowd ambience - at the end of the performance.

File format delivery can be ProTools, standard single or multichannel Broadcast Wave, OMFI, AAF as well as the standard AIFF etc. We can fully cater to your specifications. Storage is also plentiful with over 4000GB of hard disk storage. A plethora of premium outboard equipment is available including Neve, SSL, TC Electronics, Eventide and dbx to name a few.

Our Isuzu diesel truck has been custom built to support high-demand mobile recording including regulated 3 phase/ 32 amp power supply, air conditioning and a roof-top camera platform. A UPS system is incorporated on all systems for complete safety of your data.

Analog:

Now probably world's only authentic, original mobile super-Neve recording facility for commercial hire. While there are other facilities that claim Neve sound and quality, few indeed are anywhere near the authenticity and pristine analog sound this mobile encapsulates. This console was built and signed off by Rupert Neve in 1975/6, just before he left the Neve company, making it a true original.

The console was custom built as a 40 channel recording and mixing console for live radio broadcasts for ABC Radio Sydney. The build quality is such, that in today's dollars, the price of the console would go into the seven figures. It is in mint condition, meticulously looked after and available for your recording requirements, live or otherwise.
